Fertility drugs are prescribed medications that will mostly help to influence the ovulation process. Clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene) helps to stimulate ovulation in females with low ovulation possibly because of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or some other disorder. Clomiphene acts on the pituitary gland to release more FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone).
